You were made to thrive, not just survive

You were made to thrive, not just survive ❤

Welcome!

Are you or your child struggling with stress/anxiety? Navigating a major life transition or grieving a loss? Are you a people pleaser looking to create stronger boundaries or build a stronger sense of identity? Learning how to effectively deal with emotions or past trauma? Or maybe discovering how to better communicate with a significant other?

By signing up for my professional counseling services, my clients receive a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space, which guides people toward deeper experiential levels of emotional healing, soul care, and personal growth. I primarily offer tele-health counseling to expat families and children/teen/adult third culture kid (TCK)s, and also welcome clients from other backgrounds. I believe Christ’s sacrifice creates an opening for us all to experience healing and freedom, and I would love to walk that journey with you!

Specific Areas of Expertise:

With over 10+ years of experience, I specialize in working with clients regarding: anxiety, perfectionism, building self-confidence, grief/loss, women’s issues, co-dependency/boundary setting, self-esteem, trauma, and spiritual questions/concerns, pre-marital/marital couples, and families.

 About Lauren Mitchell, LMFT, LPCC

I am a therapist, speaker, and writer, and I offer talks, trainings, and webinars to a variety of groups, including churches, conferences, schools, and mission organizations, on a variety of mental health and spiritually related topics with a particularly focus on ministering to the needs of women, teens, college students, and missionary families. I am able to provide specific teachings, trainings, and resource materials upon request.

When I am not in session or writing/speaking, you will find me spending time with my husband and two kids, traveling to visit family overseas, or acting/singing on the stage and screen. My husband and I also recently relocated to Louisiana with our expanding family. I am a TCK (third-culture kid) with significant years spent in Scotland as a young teenager and can relate others who are from missionary/ministry families.
